Dwight has devoted his career to fixed income investment management.  An expert in the field, he also contributes his time (formerly and presently) on numerous committees for the CFA Institute, Fidelity Management and Research Company, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.  Dwight also serves as a Trustee for the sponsor of this site, the Evelyn Brust Financial Research and Education Foundation.


Barry M. Gillman, CFA

Barry is the director of portfolio strategies, responsible for the firm's Strategies Group. The Strategies Group includes the Brandes Fixed Income Group and the Brandes Institute, as well as the firm's product development program. Prior to joining Brandes, Barry led a global investment consulting firm, and held senior positions with investment institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. He is a graduate of Cambridge University, a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA), and an associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He is also a member of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego. Barry has 34 years of investment experience, including equity and fixed income portfolio management, marketing, and business management.


Cherith Harrison

Cherith Harrison, founder and CEO of Brookside Consultants has been a Wall Street presence for more than twenty years. She has worked with and for some of the leading firms on Wall Street including: BlackRock, Deutsche Asset Management, the Dreyfus Corporation, Merrill Lynch, Oppenheimer Funds and T. Rowe Price.
Cherith's expertise extends to a wide range of financial products including mutual funds, insurance and annuities, modern portfolio theory and all types of individual and group retirement plans including 401(k), 403(b), 457 and IRAs.
Ms. Harrison is also a published author; her articles have appeared in More, Atlanta Woman, Mergers & Acquisitions and Employee Benefit News magazines, among others. Ms. Harrison has also been a frequent speaker at financial services industry conferences.
Ms. Harrison graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Economics. She is a member of the Board of Governors of the Concourse Athletic Club in Atlanta Georgia and a volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association of Georgia Speakers Bureau.
She lives in Atlanta Georgia with her two chocolate labs; Marley and Rocky.


Craig Israelsen, Ph.D.

Craig Israelsen is an Associate Professor in the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he teaches Personal and Family Finance. 
He holds a Ph.D. in Family Resource Management from Brigham Young University.  He received a B.S. in Agribusiness and a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Utah State University. 
Primary among his research interests is the analysis of investment products, particularly mutual funds.  He writes monthly for Financial Planning magazine and is a principal at Target Date Analytics LLC.  He is the designer of the 7Twelve Portfolio.

Darin is a Partner at Gill Capital Partners in Denver, CO.  He has more than 15 years of experience in implementing asset allocation strategies that are customized for each client, based on risk tolerance and long-term goals.  He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst and earned a BS from the University of Colorado, Boulder.


Ron Surz, CIMA, MBA

Ron Surz is President of Target Date Solutions, a company focused on providing benchmarking and management of target date lifecycle funds.
Mr. Surz is also President of PPCA, an investment technology firm in San Clemete, CA, specializing in performance evaluation and attribution software, primarily for financial consultants and sophisticated institutional investors.
Ron has served on several boards and councils including the Investment Management Consultant's Association Board of Directors, the CFA Institute's Consultant/Investor GIPs Committee and the Advisory Boards of Capital Markets Research, Rockwater hedge, RCG, and Sortino Investment Advisors.
Mr. Surz earned an MBA in Finance at the University of Chicago and an MS in Applied Mathematics at the University of Illinois, and holds a CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) designation.  He has published regularly in financial journals and books.  His most recent book is "Hedge Funds: Definitive Strategies and Techniques", co-edited by Kenneth Phillips of Hedgemark Partners LLC.


Benjamin A. Tobias, CFP, CPA/PFS, CIMA

Ben Tobias is very active in his professional and personal communities.  Professional and trade organization memberships include the Financial Planning Association, the Investment Management Consultants Association, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Independent Financial Advisors Panel. He is a charter officer and past president of the Rotary Club of Pembroke Pines.
Worth Magazine has selected Mr. Tobias as one of its "Top 250 Wealth Advisors" in its 2008 listing, and all of Worth Magazine's listings from 1996 through 2002.
Mr. Tobias became a CPA in 1975, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York in 1973.


Eric D. Uhlberg, CFP, CIMA

Eric attained his Certified Investment Management Analyst designation after an extensive training program taught by professors from the Wharton School of Business.  In addition, Eric has specific experience in working with large corporate financial plans and was selected as the lead advisor in working with the executive team at a large regional bank.  Throughout his career, Eric has been focused on servicing the needs of high net-worth families, foundations, endowments and non-profit organizations. 
He is originally from Wilton, CT, and attended Marietta College in Ohio where he graduated with a degree in managerial economics.  His passions are getting his daughters through college and participating in an ironman.


Scott Welch, CIMA

Scott Welch is a Senior Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee at Fortigent, LLC.  Based in the Washington D.C. area, Fortigent provides outsourced wealth management solutions to banks, independent advisory firms, and "break away brokers".  He oversees Fortigent's investment research and strategy team and is the Chair of the Investment and Investment Quality Assurance Committees.
Scott went to college and business school, holds a variety of industry certifications and/or licenses, and has worked in the financial services industry for more years than he cares to admit.
